Creating a calm, inviting workplace with seamless indoor outdoor flow was the assignment at 88 Shortland Street, whose modern building overhaul needed the soft texture of plants. Clusters of plantings of varying heights, composition and layout including free-standing groups, in-built planters, large-scale plants and cascading lower foliage has added significant appeal to the spaces. Accentuating the architectural elements of glass, concrete tiles and steel, a selection of both honed and rustic concrete pots were curated to house a lavish selection of plants. The generous use of plants throughout the indoor and outdoor spaces leaves a cohesive impression and encourages movement through to the outdoor areas, enhancing staff health and wellbeing
