Courtney Whittle

Your Account Manager, Courtney Whittle, isn’t just a plant expert – she’s also an accomplished designer, and one of the most creative people that we know. Read on, and you’ll discover some fascinating facts about her. (Naturally, we couldn’t resist asking which plant variety wins her heart.)

What’s your design background? My design career started with a Bachelor of Visual Arts, which led to roles with high-end fashion brands (both here and in Australia). I am very privileged to have been in the plantscaping industry for 11 years. It brings together my design expertise and my passion for transforming spaces through greenery.

What is one of the things you find most satisfying about your job? I feel very lucky to have built some amazing relationships with my clients and bring some truly inspiring projects to life. I get so much joy from my job when it comes to delivering and exceeding my clients’ expectations.

What is one of your favourite plants to use in your designs – and why? It would be Ficus Ruby – this girl loves anything pink!

What’s the one tech tool or life hack that you couldn’t live without? Microsoft OneNote is a must-have. I use this app every day to support me in my role. It helps me keep my notes and client info at my fingertips.

As 2023 whizzes by, what have been some of your highlights for the year? It would have to be getting married on the 27th of October to my best friend. All our guests thought they were attending our engagement party. We sprung the surprise of getting married on the night. As you can imagine, it was many months of top-secret planning!
